What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I pivoted from engineering in medical devices because I felt it was a slower-moving industry. For example, a product launch would take somewhere between 10 to 15 years. This was for the highest class of medical devices, the very invasive and flexible devices that Edwards Life Sciences made.
Because it was so slow-moving, I felt the learning opportunities weren't as great as I would have liked. That's what I've been enjoying about entertainment and strategy. I feel it's so fast-paced and there's always something new happening, especially now with the conversation around AI in entertainment.
It's been really interesting to be a part of that and to see where it goes. Especially with the streaming wars, with Netflix obviously coming out on top, but then understanding what things we can do to improve the other streaming platforms. I think it's been really interesting.
Because it has been so fast-paced and there are so many learning opportunities, that's one thing I really enjoy.
