What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

This is a similar challenge for most people in nonprofits. When you work in a nonprofit, there's a flow with funding.

Sometimes there are lean times, and other times there's more money available. It's about adapting and adjusting to that. Being willing to make things work is a core skill, and it's really important for this job.

However, it's also a challenge to have to be nimble and find ways to make things work when funding is limited. These are probably some of the biggest challenges in what we do.

It's especially unique getting funding here on the Central Coast, in SLO County. We've faced challenges securing federal funding, and many groups will tell you similar stories.

So, finding ways to make things work and getting creative are some of the biggest challenges. Funding is at the heart of every nonprofit, and I think most people will agree it's always going to be one of the biggest challenges.
