What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?

The one thing that helped me succeed today from undergrad was stepping out of my comfort zone. Growing up in Southern California, I was in a bubble, hanging out with friends who were just like me.

When I went to a UC for undergrad, I joined diverse groups and learned from people I had never met before. I became friends with people from different walks of life. This helped me understand a broader aspect of life and the world, rather than just being in a bubble.

Getting out of my comfort zone and meeting new people showed me there are different avenues and career paths you can take. It's not just a set path that maybe your parents mentioned or that people around you back home followed. There are many different ways to succeed in life.

So, I think one thing to do is definitely step out of your comfort zone. Don't be scared to try new things and always have a plan.
