What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
Motorsports is a fun industry. I think it's very tight-knit; people in motorsports really want to help each other. I'm using "motorsports" broadly, not just saying NASCAR, because even at NASCAR tracks, other series sometimes use the facilities.
Motorsports as a whole is a growing industry, especially in the United States. The people involved are great, and I think that's a lot of fun. When you show up on race day, they start their engines, the crowd roars, and it's a great time.
It's a blast to be there and know you had a hand in putting that event together. For example, the Chicago Street Race – I wasn't in event operations, but I did help with some of the procure-to-pay processes in the background. Watching it on TV last July and thinking I contributed to that is pretty cool.
