What skills are most important for a job like yours?

That's a good question. In my field, the most crucial skills are proficiency in generative AI model pipelines, large language models, and fine-tuning. Expertise in machine learning and deep learning techniques is also essential, as are strong programming skills.

Currently, our tech stack heavily utilizes Python. Some knowledge of cloud platforms and MLOps practices is also vital. We primarily work with AWS and Azure for our models, and we're experimenting with other cloud technologies like GCP as well.

Beyond technical skills, leadership and team management abilities are essential at my level. This includes knowing how to manage a team, address their concerns, and help them overcome roadblocks using my previous experience.

All in all, proficiency with cloud tech stacks is really important. If someone wants to enter this field, they should know traditional ML algorithms, some cloud technologies, and Python. Python is particularly important right now, though I won't restrict it solely to Python as some people also work with R. All these skills are vital in my field today.
