What does a day in the life at Tinder and in your role look like?

The day starts with a daily stand-up with everyone on my team. Our manager, or anyone else on the team, could lead it.

Even I could lead it, giving updates to the whole team about open issues. We share what people are working on and any big meetings for the day. This catches everyone up.

It also helps us keep an eye on any other bugs happening on the app. Then, I'll look at the volume of user feedback coming in.

That's a big indicator if there's a major issue happening on the app, just by the volume of emails we might get from users. After that, I'd look at the current slate of bugs.

I'd check in with different engineers on the status of fixing those bugs. Some of these could be revenue-affecting bugs, so they're high priority.

They could be affecting all users in India, for example, which has happened before. So, there are some pretty big issues that could happen that I'd need to follow up on throughout the day.
