What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I think doing the UCDC program helped me the most. I got to experience a whole new city and a whole new field that I had never worked in before.
For example, I interned for the Senate Committee on Banking. That's something you could only do in D.C. I think that really helped my undergraduate experience.
Another thing that helped was my political science courses. Most of them greatly assisted me because they involve a lot of debating and conversing. Communication is one of the most important skills needed in this industry.
So, my political science courses and the UCDC program definitely helped me the most. I learned how to communicate and converse, and also how to communicate with different people, which is a crucial skill.
