What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before entering the industry?
I think I pretty much knew what I needed to know about this role because I did all the research before I came in. If I could add one thing, it's that it's very demanding, especially during a pandemic.
Now that we've experienced a pandemic, it was very demanding and nonstop. Nobody could have guessed we were going to have a pandemic, so no one could have told me about that.
I guess through your research, you don't have to depend on anyone else telling you things. Then you realize, "Oh, somebody should have told me this."
My recommendation would be to do your research and make sure you know everything about the industry or field you want to enter before you commit. That way, you won't be blindsided.
I did my research and my homework because I didn't want to be blindsided by anything. So that would be my advice: just do your homework.
