I enjoy being in charge of my entire department. I built my entire department in previous roles.
I was more of a small piece contributing to the larger whole. Now, I've gotten to build a department from the ground up.
It was worth maybe 1% of our revenue when I came in, and now it will probably surpass 50% of our business next year. I like being the expert in something.
I like being the one who gets to make the final decisions. I like getting to own such a large part of the business and learn how to make decisions myself, quickly.
I trust that I'm the expert in that department. The way I think something should be done is how we should do it. That's been fun to do in this role.
