What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
For entry-level positions, you can definitely go the accounting route. You could work at one of the larger accounting firms in audit or another type of role. They also have consulting roles at those firms.
Alternatively, you can go into bigger consulting firms like McKinsey or the Boston Consulting Group as an entry-level college graduate. I know they hire them and also offer internships.
You can also go the finance route, becoming an entry-level financial analyst. You could do this for a company in an industry you're interested in, or for a consulting firm similar to the Big Four or other consulting groups.
