What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I love it because you can take an idea all the way to completion. You can literally see this idea manifest itself as a new building, and that leaves a lasting legacy. It's something that I can walk around town with my friends and family and show them something that I worked on.
So, it's very tangible as well. The one interesting thing that I really enjoy about the construction industry too is that it's significantly behind other industries when it comes to technology adoption and just being progressive in our mentality of how we go about doing what we do. That's actually really fun for me.
It gives a ton of opportunity for fast growth and being able to make a big impact, not just internally to our company, but the industry as a whole. It's not like we don't have access to cool technologies and ways to do things better, but it's really changing the culture and how we think about things.
So, that's one aspect that I think is really meaningful. You really get to have such a big impact on not just our local group, but how we engage with the industry as a whole and make a significant impact.
