What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I have a pretty wide swath of things I'm responsible for. I'm responsible for all things legal, that includes litigation, contracts, and patents.
I'm also in charge of all our lobbying efforts and government interactions. Additionally, I oversee compliance around the world and do a lot of corporate secretariat work.
What all those words mean is that I get about a thousand issues a day thrown at me. I get to sort through them and think through both the legal and business issues. My goal is to meld those and come up with solutions that help move the business forward in a compliant way, in accordance with laws around the world.
