What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

My current position is an entry-level role. I got it right after graduating from Cal Poly.

That position is Manufacturing Engineering One, which is a basic me role. If you want to progress in manufacturing engineering, you could move to Manufacturing Engineering Two or Senior ME.

You could also become an ME manager if you want to be involved with manufacturing operations as a whole. There are also entry-level roles in quality engineering, supplier quality engineering, and supply chain.

These include positions like planner or buyer. All these different groups come together to create the product at the end of the day. Depending on your interests, there are plenty of ways to get involved within operations.
