What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I would consider my industry as tech, even though I work for Walmart. I work for the tech incubator in Walmart, and I worked for Adobe for almost five years before that.
What I enjoy about tech is that it feels like it never settles and is constantly trying to be better. It's not like a traditional culture where people are okay with how things are done.
I think the actual products are very inspiring, especially how they're trying to fit customer needs. From a cultural perspective, at least from what I saw at Adobe and what I'm seeing at Walmart, it also tries to push the envelope.
In a way, it's more open and accepting of people who are different. I consider myself to be different sometimes, and I feel comfortable bringing myself to work.
