What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My main responsibility is to manage the job site. This includes making sure we stay within budget and that the engineers, crew, foreman, and all the field guys understand the plans.
I also approve timecards from the previous day and allocate the correct activity to the correct cost codes. Forecasting is part of it, as is communicating with subcontractors. I make sure they are there when we need them and that the work gets completed in a timely manner.
I also communicate with the owner about any issues or progress.
