What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

There's a lot you could do. You mentioned undergraduate college, so we're dealing with bachelor's degrees.

For example, a licensed social worker role would be one option. If you have your BSN, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, you could definitely be considered for a charge nurse position in any of our buildings.

In time, not immediately, you could become an assistant director of nursing, director of nursing, nurse consultant, or eventually a chief nursing officer. As we grow, any of those positions would pay somewhere between $100,000 to $150,000 annually.

We actually have quite a few roles open in that industry, including travel nursing, where we offer travel contracts. If someone had their RN degree and a couple years of experience, we could probably offer them around $100,000 to work at one of our buildings.

We're pretty adequately staffed in New Mexico and Texas. We also work with respiratory therapists and occupational therapists, as well as physicians. Really, if you're in the healthcare profession, we definitely have something for you.

We also have marketing director positions. However, these usually require a couple of years of experience to get into. Typically, the career path for that role involves working in a nursing home first, perhaps as a CNA or a business office manager, and then moving into marketing.

This path is more suited for those who have already worked in the field and want to transition. It's not for someone with just a bachelor's degree looking to jump into that type of position. The owner of the company is looking for top marketers with a lot of experience to grow the census. They don't have time to employ someone with zero experience in that area.
