What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I think what I enjoy most in my role, especially since I currently work in a much smaller team, is having visibility into many different departments. I see exactly how they operate and contribute to releasing movies, both at a small and wide scale.
Given my earlier passion and experience in the industry, this current role that allows for that visibility is something I truly value. More specifically, I love seeing how numbers and data can communicate a story, even beyond the core creativity of a film.
I really enjoy and admire the work that I do. We build reports that illustrate how certain projects or investments, which might not initially seem worthwhile, find their value through the numbers they present.
This can be through expectations and projections for selling a movie to a specific platform, or when a film is over-indexing in a particular demographic or genre. It's also exciting to see when a film performs unexpectedly well, and that can only be unfolded and revealed through the numbers. Looking at reports and numbers is my favorite part of the role.
