What sort of skills are most important for a job like yours?
I would say definitely being very familiar with Excel. That's not to say you need to know every single formula; I definitely do not. But it's about being able to problem-solve and figure out the best way to navigate through Excel.
SQL is also very important. That has been very useful in my career. Being able to write some queries, sometimes basic select statements, and sometimes you'll need join queries, is really helpful.
From what I've seen, Python is also very helpful. That's something on my list to learn. I'm self-taught in everything, so if you don't know something now, that's okay.
As long as you have curiosity and are willing to learn on your own and figure things out, those technical skills would be really important. But in general, just the curiosity to be able to figure out how to do something is really important.
