What did you enjoy the most about being in this world?
I loved working with the diversity of people in my agency. They were smart, interesting, and they all believed that they could make water quality in our communities in California a better place.
It was inspiring every day to work with them and to see the vision that they had of cleaner water bodies and cleaner soil in our communities. Getting rid of blighted properties so that our communities can function well was also part of it.
It was the people. I enjoyed the writing and I enjoyed the research, but I enjoyed it because it was helping support making our state a better place to live.
