What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven significant in your career?
There are so many things, and they've changed so much over time. But I would say, don't be afraid to not be the smartest person in the room.
Make sure you're listening to others. Ideas can come from anywhere on your team, but they can also come from outside. They come from the customer, the market, and your competitors.
If you're worried about being the smartest person in the room, then you're not learning. And if you're not learning, you're not growing.
I try to surround myself with people who have different perspectives. It's only by hearing everyone's viewpoint that I can make a really solid decision.
