How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
If you want to thrive in any industry, it's going to be a combination of two things: passion and talent. I believe both are essential.
In tech, you have people who possess both. If you have a passion for building things, love software, and love technology, you're going to do great. You'll likely work harder than most other people because you'll enjoy it, learn a lot, and succeed for that reason.
The other way you can succeed is through talent. While passion is more fun, if you don't have it but do have talent, raw ability, and interest, you'll still be able to succeed. Ideally, you'll have both, but that's the case in almost any industry you pick.
