What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
There are multiple things I enjoy about my current role. First, as a cancer research pharmacist, I'm in a very dynamic position. I deal with many drugs that are not yet FDA-approved but are close to market.
This allows me to see trends in prevalent cancers and which drugs are effective. It feels good to have advance knowledge of cancer care trends, and I feel like an early adopter, which makes me feel great.
Secondly, I appreciate the stability of this work. There is always a demand for cancer care. Even during COVID-19, there were no turnovers; in fact, there was more eagerness to provide cancer care to patients despite the restricted environment.
I feel that stability is very important to my values and to taking care of my family. Those are two things I enjoy most.
