What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
For Amazon specifically, in my opinion, the way to get your foot in the door is through operations. This is similar to what I did when I left the military.
For someone in undergrad wanting to get into Amazon, or really anywhere within the company, I recommend spending one to two years in Amazon operations, working in fulfillment or delivery logistics. You'll learn a lot about leadership, the business, and the customer. You'll also gain insight into how the largest component of Amazon functions.
The great thing about Amazon is that it allows you to leverage your success and experience to move into other roles. You can transition into program management, marketing, or other areas you're interested in. So, I would say Amazon operations is the entry-level ticket.
