Favorite Parts of Being an Executive Coach and Trainer at Studio DTO

Dana, an Executive Coach and Trainer, finds the most rewarding aspect of her career is "helping others" in an authentic way, cherishing the trust clients place in her abilities and the "thrilling feeling" of securing new engagements. The ability to be oneself, incorporating humor and playfulness into coaching sessions, is equally fulfilling.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?

The thing I enjoy most about what I do is helping others. That might sound cliched, but I genuinely mean it because I can do it in my authentic way.

If I'm your one-on-one coach, you've chosen me, and I've chosen you. You like my personality and my style, and vice versa. I might not be for everybody, but that's why there are lots of coaches out there.

It's important for you to do your homework and see who you want to work with. For me, knowing that people I'm with want to be with me, that they trust I can help them and impact their lives and businesses, that really goes a long way.

I'd say I'm also grateful that I can be myself. I want to be able to let my personality shine through in what I do. Being a coach and a facilitator allows me to use humor, to be fun and playful, which is definitely part of my core persona.

What I also love about my job is the sales element. The chasing down a lead, the thrill of the hunt, and locking down a new engagement or a new gig. I didn't know I would love it so much. It's such a thrilling feeling knowing that you put something good out there, they like what you have, and they want to use your services.
