What does a day in the life of a research scientist look like?
It varies day to day. It's a pretty fast-paced job as legislation or regulations come out, or new science is uncovered.
I'd say in any given day, probably in meetings about half the day. Some of those are internal strategy meetings about where we're going next or doing regulatory writing.
Then some of those are with other states or with other people at our state, coordinating on things. The half of the day I'm not in meetings, usually I'm doing research on any range of topics that are related to those meetings and to support our long-term goals here.
