What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered this industry?

That's a good question. Before I entered the industry, I had very little experience in manufacturing and how complicated that process can be.

I came from home building, where the builder controlled all of the subcontractors and the actual construction of the homes. With manufacturing, there are so many different things that can affect a product being made and shipped to the United States.

During COVID, the supply chain crisis and our inability to get components to build products when demand was through the roof, was something new that I didn't understand. Now, coming out of that, I'm aware of all the different variables that can affect a new product launch, a schedule, or a date. It's important to keep in mind how many people have a hand in bringing these products to life as you move forward in your role.
