What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

I guess the role existed. If you study engineering, you're never taught about sales, marketing, or all the other things that studying engineering can be a springboard into.

I think that would be really useful for technical degrees, and really any type of degree or education. You might assume there's a cookie-cutter box for what your degree can lead to.

But very often, there are branches coming from that. So it'd be really useful to have more of that career education. It's about making people aware of different careers.

I wish that going into engineering, I had a better understanding that yes, I could be an engineer in a lab. But also, I could leverage this degree to be good at sales, or to be really good at marketing for engineering, or project management for these technical things. That's what I wish I knew a little bit more of going into this.
