So, what do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

Startups are inherently exciting. There are so many moving pieces, and often, no one is entirely sure what's going on. You usually have really smart, talented, and hardworking people trying to solve the plethora of problems that come up.

Being thrown into that mix and feeling that energy has been rewarding. I also have a skillset that's valuable in taking a naturally disorganized environment and bringing order to it. Helping them figure out the business's direction has been really cool.

You can really see the value you create on a day-to-day basis. This is probably still true in investment banking and private equity, where I used to work. However, it's a little less apparent there, and they have more access to that skillset. It's been really exciting working with startups.
