What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?
Patience. To piggyback off my previous answer, I'm obviously a big movie and TV fan. I've seen shows like "Uber" and "Silicon Valley."
Granted, those shows do depict the hard parts of starting a company. However, they don't quite capture how mentally resilient you need to be to work for a startup. Things are constantly being thrown at you.
That was something I wasn't as prepared for as I had hoped when entering my current company. It was something I was forced to figure out fairly early on.
