What did you do in college to set you up for success in your career?

I think it was a lot of little things, but generally overall, it was just kind of following the path that came naturally. As I touched on before, I think sometimes we get caught up in titles, or what we think our family would be proud of us for doing, or what sounds the shiniest.

We might end up in a role that sounds best in theory, but we don't actually envision ourselves in it. That's kind of something I started college with in mind, like, "Oh, I need to be this big doctor or something."

Then I just kind of allowed myself to follow what I was passionate about. I was a philosophy major. A lot of people ask, "What does that even connect to career-wise, other than being a philosopher?" Not much in theory, but I learned a lot by just following it.

It actually turned out that the owner of my company was a philosophy major too, so we had that connection. Anyway, off-topic. But again, it's kind of like trusting yourself, trusting your intuition.

I think that really panned out well for me. I'm happy where I am and I feel like I'm where I'm supposed to be.
