Favorite Parts Of Working In The Tech Industry As A Category Business Manager At Google
As a Category Business Manager at Google, Christopher enjoys the fast-paced nature of the industry, stating that it "moves so, so, so fast" and allows them to constantly be "living in the future" by planning upcoming products years in advance while consumers are currently purchasing products they worked on previously. This forward-thinking aspect of the role, "thinking about things before the world's even...knowing that we're coming with it," is what Christopher finds most appealing.

What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
My industry moves so fast. You get excited about the new phone, the headphones, or whatever, and then as soon as it releases, you're planning the next thing.
I like that I live in the future in a sense. People are buying something today that I was working on last year. I'm already looking at what's happening in fall of 2025 or summer of 2026.
I really like being a part of this cycle where I'm thinking about things before the world even knows we're coming with it. I really enjoy that.
