Transcript

I am Christian. I currently work at the LA Times in the data department as an Alex manager.

My focus is on driving subscriber growth. In terms of digital subscriptions, I work with the engineering team to get everything into our data environment.

There are a few things that got me to this point, starting with college. I was a writer for the *Daily Bruin* and wanted to be in journalism. So I covered sports for UCLA.

During my junior and senior years of college, I did an internship at Abernathy McGregor Group, which specializes in corporate communications for M&A. They kind of pushed me towards more of an analytical field.

Once I was done with my undergrad at UCLA, I pursued more analytics work. I landed at a couple of agencies, worked at Edelman for a little bit, and a couple of vendors, and then made my way to the *LA Times*.

I credit the combination of my education at UCLA, my experience as a journalist for the *Daily Bruin*, and my experience as a financial analyst for Abernathy McGregor for getting me to where I am right now.
