What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I love nonprofits. I think there are pluses and minuses to it, but I really love nonprofits. The field I am in can be really flexible and supportive, depending on the organization, of course.

I think nonprofit advocacy is a fun place to be because it's quick and moves fast. There are so many different dynamics, and so many different opportunities for organizations to support staff and for people to contribute.

I like small, relatively small organizations. I find it fun to be part of a team. Nonprofits can be a joy when they are really well managed, which my organization is.

I really like the fast-paced nature of nonprofits and the advocacy goals that the organizations I've worked for have had. I know I could get better benefits if I switched to a federal or state organization, but I really love it. I really love quick-moving pieces.
