Q9: Wish known before: Industry
What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the field?
I've been in my field for about 10 years. I wouldn't say it's role-specific. I think anyone can learn anything if they put their mind to it and are willing to grind and get their hands dirty.
It's also important to be energetic and follow through. Following through is really the most rare quality.
If you take anything away from this, it's to follow through on what you say you're going to do. You want to be known as someone who keeps their promises and their word. If you say you're going to do something, you do it.
This includes emails, text messages, and any communication. So, my feedback for anyone starting out in supply chain finance, or any field, is to be known as someone who can be trusted, is reliable, and can be counted on.
