What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
That's a great question. I started my career with an internship in the oil and gas industry. I had a great experience with the company I was at.
When I transitioned to tech, I really liked being on the forefront of what's happening. It feels like we're going through another dot-com boom with AI, and I want to be a part of that. I'm excited about seeing how I can influence my company to take advantage of these advancements.
This also ties back to why I love supply chain. The scope is significant enough that it impacts every single person in the world. That's what initially drew me to companies like Intel.
I remember reading Intel's vision at the time: to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth. I thought that was very cool, as many company visions focus on making money for stockholders. It's something that has a wide-scale impact and ties into everyone's day.
Cisco specifically helps bring connectivity to places around the world. I get a lot of satisfaction knowing I have at least a small part in doing that.
