What is one lesson that you've learned that's proven significant in your career?
It's the age-old saying: it's not what you know, it's who you know and how you network. This was a dream role of mine.
It took the Vice President of PepsiCo to come out here. I was chosen to perform in front of him, which led me to move out here.
I 100% wouldn't have gotten this opportunity if he hadn't made the calls he did. I also wasn't lucky enough to be selected to present in front of him that day.
The biggest lesson is to make sure you network. Stay on senior leadership's radar. That way, when opportunities arise, you'll be the first person they think of.
