What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I'm currently working at a private equity firm. The easiest way to think about what we do in private equity is that we are investors in businesses.
Most commonly, people might invest in stocks, bonds, or crypto. We buy businesses where we believe we have some expertise to improve their profitability.
Specifically, we focus on healthcare, auto dealerships, and commercial real estate. Those are the three areas my firm, ZT Corporate, works in.
My job is to find investors. These are people who might want to diversify beyond stocks and bonds, or perhaps they only have investments like a 401k. They might be thinking they should invest in something additional to prepare for retirement or other life goals.
Investing in private businesses through private equity is one way people can achieve this. I seek out investors interested in healthcare, dealerships, or commercial real estate.
