Have you learned anything about this role that you wish someone had told you before entering the industry?
I haven't really been too blindsided by too many things. I started in the fire service at 18, going into the academy, and I feel I was pretty well prepared.
However, learning how to be a good cook would probably be the biggest understatement in terms of what I was not prepared for in college. Everything came wrapped in a tortilla.
I did not realize how important cooking was going to be at the fire station.
