What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

My industry is multifaceted. It can range from entrepreneurship and advocacy to government relations and policy work. This makes the work very diverse, showing there's space for everyone to get involved, whether tackling one aspect or all of it.

The best part about my industry is the collaboration. You work with many different people in various areas and aspects. I've worked with CEOs holding PhDs and law degrees, and other incredible people.

There are also students advocating for their ideas, trying to motivate change. Sometimes, you're in a community discussing the issues people are facing. Seeing things from different perspectives is incredible because advocacy can happen in any space.

Policy work is also very diverse. You never know who will bring a brilliant idea or highlight something you hadn't considered. I love this aspect of the work – the collaboration and looking at things from different viewpoints due to the industry's diversity.

In the advocacy space, you can champion an array of issues. In government relations, you're unsure what kind of organization might need support. It's so different.

The entrepreneurship side is interesting. I've worked with people who mentored me and now we collaborate on contracts. That's the beauty of entrepreneurship; you can tap into different work and find gratification in what you choose to do.
