What do you enjoy most about being in your role?
What I enjoy most is that there's never a dull moment. I'm never bored; there's always something new to learn daily. There's always something to do.
If I had to boil it down to one concept, it's that because I handle the most pressing problems and anything new, I feel like I'm always operating at the 99th percentile of my ability. Things don't really repeat often.
So I need to learn things on the fly to make decisions that will have a chain reaction on a lot of other things. I need to be really quick on my feet, so the adrenaline on a daily basis is high.
I don't know how I'm going to retire, but it's really fun to be able to do that. Maybe I just like it and it matches my personality, but that's my favorite part of my role.
