What are some of the main responsibilities within your current role?
My current role is a budget analyst. Basically, we compete for proposals and grants, and then we're successfully awarded them. My job in the finance piece is to make sure that we finish the projects on time and on budget.
My entity is funded from overhead. So for me, it's still a budget analyst role. Instead of working on proposals and making sure we finish within budget for awarded projects, we're given an allocation of budget every year.
My job is to help our division and departments make sure that we finish within those budgets each year.
