Transcript

Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Do you have any internships or jobs you had before your current role?

Absolutely. In college, I studied English linguistics and wine and viticulture, which was a little all over the place.

As for extracurricular activities and job experience, I had internships with companies like Heineken and Fox Racing Shocks in Santa Cruz. I had a lot of experience with sales, operations, and marketing by the time I graduated.

After undergrad, I ended up in a sales role. I actually wanted to study English so I could potentially work for an advertising agency; I really wanted to be a copywriter.

But I ended up in sales, and I've been there for about 15 years. It's made all the difference, and it was a very lucky place to end up, although I didn't feel like it at the time.
