Q11: Significant lesson - career
What is one lesson that you've learned that has proven to be really significant for you throughout your career?
One lesson I learned is that you really can pivot your career and make changes as you go throughout your career journey. I started in public relations, which wasn't really as analytical; I was more on the creative side, working with the press to create different stories.
Then, I went to a software company where I worked with data analytics, pulling consumer insights and really focusing on data-driven marketing. There are transferable skill sets in every career path that you take.
If you're passionate about something you want to do, you can really take those skill sets—the soft skills, the hard skills—that you learned in one area and transfer them to another area, as long as it's something you really want to be doing and are passionate about.
