What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would've told you before you entered the industry?
In my industry, relationships are incredibly important. I wish I'd understood the value of networking better earlier in my career.
What I've learned over time is that almost every job or opportunity I've been given has come through relationships. Rarely have I simply applied for a job and ended up in it.
I almost always found opportunities either from someone I knew reaching out to me, or from knowing someone who worked with someone else, or at a company I was interested in. So, early in my career, I didn't appreciate that networking was truly the way to move forward and how important it was in the industry.
