What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
To me, the best part of criminal prosecution, and being an attorney in general, is that ultimately your job is to do the right thing. The State Bar has very high ethical standards, and even a higher level of ethics for criminal prosecution.
So, to me, every single day I sleep well at night knowing that my job was to do the right thing and to take the high road at all times. It's not about winning at all costs; it's not about winning.
It's about, in this specific case, what are my ethical obligations? What are my legal obligations? And having no problem saying at the end of the day, "I'm not results-driven. I care about the integrity of the entire criminal process."
