What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before entering the industry?

What I learned midway in my career, and I think everybody should know, is that you could have the exact same job but in a different industry, and it can pay twice as much. So, figure out what you like to do and the kind of job you want to do. Then, go find the industry that pays you the most to do it.

It doesn't necessarily make sense, but it's definitely there. You can think about it like a waitress. You could work at Howard Johnson's and make very little money, or you could work at some really fancy restaurant and make a ton. You're still doing the same stuff.
