What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?
I really enjoy being in the nonprofit space and also the fundraising space because everyone is, by default, generally a good person. Everyone is there for the mission.
You can't fake your care for different things. It's very easy for people to know if they're not a right fit. You can't fake caring about something that you don't really care about.
Everyone in the nonprofit sector is really passionate about what they're raising money for. That's something that really bonds all nonprofit folks together: the passion for whatever cause it is that you're raising money for.
And then there's the fact that everyone is working to make a difference. Everyone wants to be helping others in some way, whether it's helping the planet, the environment, students, kids, the homeless, or any number of different things. Everyone is really there to make a difference.
