What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
I have to say, teaching is probably the best job I've ever had. It's been the most fun.
Unfortunately, teaching is an undervalued career in our society. I think it's just a lot of fun, and you can have a great impact.
The money, well, you're not going to become a billionaire being a teacher. In many districts around the country, there are places where you can still earn pretty good money over time. This is especially true after you take on additional responsibilities and different leadership opportunities.
I believe teaching is one of the most important careers anyone could take on. I would encourage anyone with a heart for it, who wants to make an impact in our world or on individuals, to consider teaching. There are very few better things one could pursue to have that type of impact.
And it's a fun job, too.
