What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I'm currently a program manager on Google's IT M&A team. We cover due diligence, planning, and implementation across Alphabet's mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures portfolio, with a focus on our corporate engineering functions.
Within IT, I typically specialize in business systems used by our corporate functions. When we say corporate functions, we mean sales, marketing, finance, legal, HR, and so on.
My primary role is to help Google build joint initiatives with the companies we acquire. These initiatives create different revenue or cost synergies during the interim period where the acquisition and Google are operating in separate systems.
