Biggest Challenges Faced by a Master Principal Solution Engineer at Oracle
As a Master Principal Solution Engineer at Oracle, Brandon's biggest challenge is customizing demos to meet the complex and specific needs of large enterprise clients outlined in their RFPs, because a generic, "canned demo" won't cut it when competitors are tailoring their presentations to address customer pain points with the specific "order, format, [and] type of data" that they are seeking. Meeting this challenge is time-consuming but crucial for success.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?
Customizing demos to client specifications is crucial. With large enterprise customers, there's often significant complexity in their existing businesses.
We frequently receive requests for proposals, also known as RFPs. These typically include a detailed list of everything they expect the software to do.
Therefore, I can't simply present a canned demo. It must be tailored to their specific needs.
Ensuring each demo addresses customer pain points and expectations is one of the biggest challenges. If we don't, our competitors will.
This process is quite time-consuming. Even with thorough software knowledge, it takes significant effort to ensure a demo meets specific requirements, such as order, format, and data type. These considerations greatly influence the demo's presentation.
